Platform overview

Post-close servicing built for institutional structured finance

Atlas ABS is a comprehensive deal management platform for C-PACE and ABS transactions. From capital structure and waterfall execution to SEC reporting and investor verification — purpose-built for trustees, servicers, and originators.

Structured finance infrastructure, not another spreadsheet

Atlas ABS is a post-close servicing platform for C-PACE (Commercial Property Assessed Clean Energy) and other asset-backed securities. It replaces the fragmented mix of email chains, spreadsheets, and shared drives that currently govern deal operations at most trustees and servicers.

The platform covers the full deal lifecycle — from initial project setup and capital structure definition through ongoing payment period execution, investor distributions, and SEC regulatory reporting. Every action creates a permanent, auditable record.

Atlas ABS does not move money. It records, verifies, and manages the information infrastructure that surrounds the flow of funds — credential management, waterfall configuration, distribution approvals, and compliance documentation.

From deal close to final distribution

Atlas ABS follows the natural lifecycle of a structured finance deal — each phase building on the last.

01
Deal setup & participant onboarding
Trustee creates the deal record, enters closing parameters, and invites participants. Organizations are assigned project-scoped roles. Deal documents uploaded and indexed.
02
Capital structure & asset pool configuration
Define the tranche stack with seniority, coupon, and covenants. Load the initial asset pool — C-PACE assessments, receivables, or loans. Configure waterfall steps for the first distribution period.
03
Credential verification
Servicers and payees submit bank account credentials through the encrypted credential portal. A second authorized participant independently verifies each credential before it is activated for use in distributions.
04
Payment period: collections
Servicer submits collections data for the current period. The platform validates against expected schedules, flags variances, and routes exceptions for trustee review before proceeding.
05
Waterfall execution & distribution
Trustee previews the waterfall execution against current collections and balances. After approval, the distribution lines are finalized, locked as an immutable snapshot, and distribution reports are generated.
06
SEC reporting & period close
10-D, ABS-EE, and servicer certification reports are generated from deal data. Trustee reviews and signs off. Reports are exported in EDGAR-ready format. Period is closed and archived in the immutable audit record.

Built for institutional scrutiny

Designed to pass trustee due diligence reviews, investor security questionnaires, and regulatory audits.

Immutable audit trail
Every platform action — credential submission, approval, waterfall step execution, document access, role change — is permanently logged with actor identity, timestamp, IP, and data delta. Logs cannot be modified or deleted by any user including administrators.
Field-level encryption (AES-256)
Sensitive financial data — account numbers, routing numbers, and other confidential identifiers — is encrypted at the field level using AES-256 before database storage. Encryption keys are managed separately from application data and support rotation without data loss.
Two-party verification protocol
Bank account credentials require independent submission and verification by two separate authorized participants. No single party can activate credentials unilaterally. Every verification step is logged with actor and timestamp.
Role-based access control
7 project-scoped roles with permissions enforced at the module and action level. No role-bleed between deals. Trustees control participant access and can revoke roles immediately. All access changes are logged.
Out-of-scope payment processing
Atlas ABS never holds, transfers, or processes funds. The platform manages information about payments — credentials, schedules, approvals, records — but the actual payment execution occurs outside the platform through existing trustee banking infrastructure.
Multi-factor authentication
TOTP-based two-factor authentication required for all accounts. Recovery codes issued at setup. Session management with configurable timeout and concurrent session limits per organization policy.

What Atlas ABS does — and does not do

Does Atlas ABS move or hold funds?
No. Atlas ABS is an information and workflow management platform. It never holds, transfers, or executes payments. Fund movement continues through your existing trustee banking infrastructure. The platform manages the data and approvals that surround those transactions.
Which asset classes are supported?
Atlas ABS is purpose-built for C-PACE (Commercial Property Assessed Clean Energy) deals and other ABS structures. The platform is flexible enough to support RMBS, CMBS, CLOs, and other structured finance instruments with configuration.
How does waterfall configuration work?
Trustees define waterfall steps through a drag-and-drop interface with multiple calculation types: pro-rata interest, principal payment, fee allocation, reserve fund contribution, and subordinate distribution. Each step references the deal's capital structure and pool data. Waterfall configurations are versioned — changes create a new version without affecting historical distribution snapshots.
What SEC reporting does the platform support?
Atlas ABS includes native templates for Form 10-D (ABS distribution reports), ABS-EE (asset-level data), and periodic servicer certification reports. Data is automatically aggregated from deal modules. Reports can be exported in EDGAR-ready formats. Custom report templates can be added for deal-specific requirements.
How long does deal onboarding take?
A standard C-PACE deal with a defined capital structure and initial asset pool can be set up in 1–2 days by a trustee administrator. Full participant onboarding and credential verification typically takes 1–2 weeks depending on the number of participants and their responsiveness.
Does Atlas ABS integrate with existing trustee systems?
The platform supports structured data exports compatible with most trustee accounting systems. An API is on the roadmap for direct integrations. Plaid integration is available for bank account verification. Custom integration support is available for enterprise deployments.
